Sculpture of the week 19th April 2019

This week’s sculpture of the week is a lovely centre display bowl made from a stunning slab of Rippled Scottish Sycamore.  I have had this slab of wood for several years now and was keeping it for the right project.  I thought it would be nice to make a seascape fused glass insert for this sculpture.  As it’s a solid wooden bowl there is no point in using any transparent glass in this style of sculpture, so I only used opaque glass and dichroic glass which have resulted in a very rich and colourful seascape.

Thank you for following my work and please look out for next week’s sculpture of the week.
