I received this lovely letter last week from a fellow artist.

Her children commissioned a sculpture for her based on a painting she had done of a scene of a very special place they went on childhood holidays.

I was a bit nervous doing a commission for an accomplished artist, especially recreating an abstract version of her own lovely painting of their special place. However, I’m delighted to receive this letter knowing it genuinely is a special piece of artwork to the family. That’s why I love my job so much. I love making these sculptures, but it’s even better to hear the enjoyment that others get from them too.
